We design and implement solutions primarily on the SAP platform to support the internal HP business worldwide.  

A Typical Day:

  • As a Software Engineering Apprentice at HP, you’ll work as part of a larger team of experienced developers in an interactive, collaborative environment. 

  • You’ll work on backend systems for large-scale applications for users on web and mobile devices

  • You’ll learn the fundamentals of development, design, testing, agile principles, and continuous delivery.

  • Best of all, you will be a contributing member of your team, putting forward ideas, taking on responsibilities and making choices about how you get the job done

Skills Needed:

  • Prior interest in coding; some exposure to web development

  • Able to work independently and take initiative, as well as work collaboratively and contribute to an agile team environment

  • Curiosity to learn supply chain principles and concepts

  • Willingness to learn Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

  • Drive and eagerness to learn; willingness to build proficiency in the following tools and technologies:

    • Java

    • Unix

    • WebLogic

    • SAP ABAP

  • Personal qualities: Teamwork, Communication, Learning, Problem Solving, Initiative

You Must Have: 

  • Either a High School Diploma, GED, or Associate Degree
