Job Description

Raytheon SI Government Solutions is focused on providing software and hardware level information security solutions ranging the spectrum of offensive and defensive security technologies for computer network operations.  

Key areas of focus include reverse engineering, persistence/anti-persistence technologies, forensics/anti-forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, wireless and network communications, and low level development.   We are also looking for folks interested in robotics, automotive, and aerospace embedded system programming.

We provide security consulting and training services to government and fortune 500 customers.   We have experience with the broadest array of possible threats and information attack vectors and uses this expertise to ensure that security objectives are successfully met.

Raytheon SI Goverment Solutions is seeking a current college student for our Computer Science Engineering Intern positions located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland to support engineering activities and senior engineers on programs for Summer 2014. The program activities are related to requirement analysis and hierarchical decomposition, development of system architecture, and system delivery.  

Additional duties may include correction and update of documents, contribute to presentations, support design reviews, support customer requests for information and support the recommendation of appropriate configuration, equipment and software changes to satisfy requests and system integration and test support.

Candidates must be professional, a self-starter and possess a positive attitude. It is important that the candidate has a willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures and be willing to engage with the staff.  

Required Experience:
*Fundamental engineering skills
*Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*Ability to obtain a government security clearance

Desired Experience:
*Course work in modern application architectures or methodologies
*Course work in aerospace engineering
*Course work in Computer Science engineering
* Course work on Technical Writing
* Ability to work in a team environment
*Class work in requirements analysis, development, traceability and verification
 
Required Education:
*Must have obtained sophmore, junior or senior status by Summer of 2014 (Candidate for graduation in 2016,2015 or 2014) 
*Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science
*Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Please include your GPA on your resume.

This position can be a Salary Grade ST02,  Salary Grade ST03, or Salary Grade ST04 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

(Salary Grade/level ST02 position requires a minimum of rising Sophomore level class status (graduating 2016)

(Salary Grade/level ST03 position requires a minimum of rising Junior level class status (graduating 2015

(Salary Grade/level ST04 position requires a minimum of rising Senior level class status (graduation 2014)

This position requires the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
